Terence C. Mullen graduated from Willowbrook High School (Villa Park) in 1973; Northern Illinois University in 1977; and Drake University Law School with Honors, in 1980, where Terry was awarded the prestigious Order of the Coif for excellence in academic achievement. Terry began practicing in 1980 and handled matters in diverse areas of the law including criminal defense, civil litigation, real estate, family law, custody and related areas.
In 1987 Terry served on the committee that created the current CCC program which provides parents with practical guidance to minimize the impact of divorce on their children. He also raised awareness for children’s issues by helping organize the first Children’s Rights Committee of the DuPage County Bar Association and the first ever Children’s Rights Expo held at College of DuPage.
Terry was an active member of the DuPage County Bar Association serving as General Counsel in 2009, and a Board member until 2014 when a terminal cancer diagnosis forced him to retire and brought an unfortunate, abrupt end to a distinguished legal career.
Terry and his wife Nada attended Community Fellowship Church. Terry was an active member of the Men’s Auxiliary to V.F.W. Post 2801 in Villa Park.
